Duties and Responsibilities

  • Making initial assessment and observation.
  • Helping the main teacher in writing monthly reports for students.
  • Prepare their course weekly with the main teacher.
  • Prepare the daily and a welcome morning routine.
  • Supervise on the breakfast meal every morning.
  • Supervise the children while playing in the classroom.
  • Writing daily children observations.
  • Making an individual educational plan for each child with the main teacher
  • Work on the advertising board and occasional corner.
  • Making activities and worksheets.
  • Participate in professional development internal and external one.
  • Helping in preparing classroom when starting New Year.
  • Giving children with special needs individual care.
  • Making art exhibitions during the year (children artwork).
  • Knowledge of safety and environmental concerns according to Fakeeh Care policy and procedure. 1
  • Monitors and reports any issues related to safety in the immediate work area i.e. frayed or tattered electrical cords, faulty equipment that poses a risk to staff operating it, maintaining a clean uncluttered work area.
  • Is able to verbalize and demonstrate understanding of the reporting daycare mechanism (OVR system) for any / risk identified in the performance of job duties.
  • Is able to verbalize understanding of safety procedures in the event of an internal or external disaster and the role they will participate in.
  • Assisting the Childcare Teacher in maintaining a safe and positive environment.
  • Providing support for the Childcare Teacher.
  • Monitoring and supervising the children constantly.
  • Cultivating relationships with children, parents, and guardians.
  • Alerting the Childcare Teacher to emergencies.
  • Greeting parents and addressing children by their name.
  • Participating in mealtime.
  • Assisting in putting children to sleep.
  • Collaborate with teachers to monitor the development of each child.
  • Understand the teacher's routine when it comes to delivering a lesson plan and running the class in the event that the teacher is absent on a particular day.
  • Work with children in the classroom to promote their learning and development.
  • Assist in developing lesson plans based on state requirements and the specific needs of each child

    Education:

    Bachelor degree in early childhood
