Duties and Responsibilities:

• Performs ultrasound examinations including ultrasonography of the abdomen, pelvis, obstetric & breast.
• Submit the images to the radiologist for discussion and reporting.
• Call the radiologist for consultation during the examination in difficult cases.
• Be responsible for correct identification of patients and site of examination.
• Explain the procedure, initruct the patient in assuming physical position for examination.
• Selects transducer and adjusts equipment controls according to the organ to be examined.
• Keys patient information into ultrasound equipment to maintain record of images.
• Records the images on the machine and transfer it to PACS.
• Responsible for recording the details of the patient to the logbook.
• Keeps ultrasound rooms in a neat and orderly appearance at all times.
• Assists radiologist in performing special procedures such as biopsy or drainage.
• Be knowledgeable in all sterile techniques and nursing procedures necessary in the area of ultrasound
• Responsible for knowing ell the hospital rules and necessary procedures and handling an emergency situation.

  JOB REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:

  Experience:

  Be holder of appropriate radiographic/technological diploma/Bachelor degree with special training in ultrasonography.

  Experience:

  should hold At least 2 years post-diploma .

  Language:

  Excellent command of oral and written English. Knowledge of Arabic is preferable

  Required Licenses/Registrations:

  Saudi Commission for Health Specialties & Ministry of Health Saudi license. He or she must be in continuous good ultrasonography practice and
