Duties and Responsibilities:
- Proper identification of the patient and study type.
- Preparation of the radioisotope needed for the study with adequate dose considering patient age and weight.
- Prepare I.V. line for injectable isotopes.
- Ensuring patient compliance with necessary instructions prior or during certain studies (e.g. avoidance of certain food types in
- 131 scan and adequate hydration in bone scan
- Performing nuclear Medicine imaging.
- Performing routine machines calibration and surveys.
- Maintaining proper log books of radio-active materials and Tc generators as well as maintaining the radio-active waste room
- Maintaining activites of the hot lab and report vailations to RSO and Chairperson of Department.
- Ensuring continuous supply of materials and isotopes, and planning orders for replenishment in a timely manners.
- Demonstrates compassionate communication skills while providing support and care to the patients as "the patient is the center of our care". Other Job Functions:
- Perform all duties and tasks in line with the Person Centered Care values.
- Adherence to all policies, plans and programs within the Fakeeh Care.
- Perform duties as per the code of conduct requirement and ethical standards as outlined in the
- 1CM policies and guidelines.
- Complete mandatory education as per the requirement at least one month prior to expiration.
- Maintain up to date knowledge on information relating to quality and safety, accreditation, policy management and document management systems.
JOB REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
Be a holder of appropriate radiographic/technological diploma.
Experience:
2 years post-diploma experience
Language:
Excellent command of oral and written English. Knowledge of Arabic is preferable Required Licenses/Registrations: Certified by the Saudi Council of Health Specialists as radiologic technician
