Assessing diagnosing and treating abnormalities and diseases related to the foot and lower limb in people with diabetes.
Providing treatment for high- risk patient groups such as the elderly and those with increased risk of amputation
Provide vascular and neurological patients so that possibility of art assessment in the long-term management of diabetes and especially high-risk patients so that possibility of amputation can be minimized.
Providing advice and making referrals as appropriate
Using therapeutic and surgical techniques to treat foot and lower leg issues (e.g. carrying out nail and soft tissue surgery using local anesthesia)
Prescribing, producing and filing orthotics and other aids and appliances
Delivering foot health education
Working closely with other complementary practitioners in medical practitioners such as doctors, nurses, health visitors, physiotherapists and he provision of multidisciplinary team delivery of healthcare
Understanding the mechanics of the body in order to preserve, restore and develop movement.
Using a range of equipment including surgical instruments, dressings, treatment tables, orthotic ( Inner Sole ) materials, lasers, grinders, shaping equipment, x-ray and video gait-analysis equipment ( which allows for analysis of patients' walking or running problems ).
Demonstrates compassionate communication skills while providing support and care to the patients as “the patient is the center of our care”. Education: Bachelor's Degree in podiatry or Master Degree in Diabetic podiatry in a recognized institution. Certification from recognized institution or organization.
Experience: 3 -5 experience after qualification in a recognized institution
Language: Excellent command of oral and written English and prefer Arabic.
Required Licenses: Saudi Commission for Health Specialty and Ministry of Health Saudi license.
