Assembles and Dispenses pharmacy medications orders under the supervision of a registered pharmacist.
Performs re-packaging of oral dosage forms for outpatient dispensing, labels the re-packed containers with an appropriate record.
Identifies and appropriately handles the nearly expired medications, storage and conditions for drug products, and
Maintains necessary record.
Maintains inventory control & security of all drugs, record keeping and secured storage of narcotics and controlled medications.
Calculates the amount of the drug product to prepare for a prescription
Completes properly the patient’s charging procedures.
Performs proper storage & handling and preparation of intravenous sterile preparation with observing of sterile aseptic and safe practices at all times.
Demonstrates knowledge of proper storage & handling of hazardous materials found in her/him workplace, as well as first aid measures necessary for accidental exposure.
Arranges the medications' stocks from medical stockroom to maintain an adequate supply of the stocks in the pharmacy.
Ensures patient safety and safe medication management are practiced at all times
Complies with hospital and departmental policies and procedures
Demonstrates knowledge of commonly used non-prescription drugs (OTC).
Reports to the pharmacy head any discovered medication errors & ADR.
Refers to the pharmacist in charge for any related duties when necessary.
Enrolls in continuous education program regarding medication management practices, high risk medications, medication errors and others.
Performs other job related assignments
JOB REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS :
Education:
Diploma in pharmacy.
Experience:
2 years of experiences with hospital pharmacy setting.
Language:
English & Arabic Required Licenses: SCFHS Registration
