Duties and Responsibilities:

1.        Performs direct nursing tasks including taking vital signs, assisting with activities of daily living and hygiene needs and obtaining certain lab specimens
2.        Assesses patients and charts their findings on the system. Reports any abnormalities to Staff nurse or physician.
3.        Maintains patient safety and preserves patient dignity, privacy, and confidentiality
4.        Serves, manages, and supports internal and external customers
5.        Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of nursing sensitive patient care indicators, especially the required interventions for preventing patient falls, decubitus ulcers, infections, and the use of restraints
6.        Takes appropriate action in urgent or unexpected situations within the scope of routine
7.        Maintains stringent levels of asepsis through the demonstration of good infection control practices and maintaining clean and safe environment
8.        Prepares equipment and assists physicians during minor procedures
9.        Accompanies the patient and assists in admission process if required. The PCA may also transfer patients or direct them as to where they are going or need to go
10.     Fosters collaborative harmonious relationships with colleagues and all members of the multidisciplinary team following chain of command
11.     Floats to and covers other units as needed, and follows other tasks as assigned by Charge Nurse / Nurse Manager
12.     Maintains competencies, licenses, life support courses, fit test, and other work requirement
13.     Identifies and reports defective or broken equipment, safety hazards and environmental hazards
14.     Participates in fire drills, disaster drills and mock codes
15.     Participates in self and others education, training, and development as applicable
16.     Presents a positive corporate image to the community
17.     participation in shared governance, decision making structures and processes that establish standards of practice*
and address opportunities for improvement
18.     Participates in professional development activities designed to im¬prove their knowledge, skills, and/or practices in the workplace
19.     Creates partnerships with patients and families to establish goals and plans for delivery of patient-centered care
20.     Demonstrates compassionate communication skills while providing support and care to the patients as “the patient is the center of our care

Other Job Functions:

1.       Perform all duties and tasks in line with the Person-Centered Care values.
2.       Adherence to all policies, plans and programs within the Fakeeh Care - Riyadh
3.       Perform duties as per the code of conduct requirement and ethical standards as outlined in the HCM policies and guidelines
4.       Complete mandatory education as per the requirement at least one month prior to expiration
5.       Maintain up to date knowledge on information relating to quality and safety, accreditation, policy management and document management systems
