JOB DUTIES STATEMENTS:
Duties and Responsibilities:
1- Originates and analyzes identified nursing staff educational needs assessments
2- Prepares and executes yearly education planner as per the educational need assessment.
3- Conducts series of nursing CME lectures , Courses, Workshops and Symposiums in coordination with Academic and
Training Activity Department.
4- Provides evidence –based nursing education for staff
5- Develops a strategic plan for the Nursing Education Department incorporating the identified long and short term goals of the division of Nursing Services and hospital.
6- Facilitates educational programs consistent with adult learning principles with goals and objectives appropriate to the multicultural nursing staff.
7- Communicates educational recommendations to Chief Nursing Officer.
8- Utilizes multiple teaching modalities effectively. Demonstrates proficiency in educational design including development of needs assessment , educational objectives , content outline , teaching methods , evaluations strategies , effective designation of appropriate physical facilities to reflect cross cultural learning styles and in the use of resources.
9- Designs , implements and assess train the trainer educational opportunities. Reviews and analyzes the impact of the programs and amends as indicated by analysis.
10- Designs and implements a competency -based nursing orientation program which embraces all theoretical , clinical technical and equipment based orientation needs.
11- Designs and implements orientation program for patient care assistants and non nursing staff reports to nursing . Participates in allied health staff training activities as requested.
12- Develops and implements programs to meet emerging learning needs generated by changes in best practice recommendations , technological advances , research developments accreditation needs and as required by the mission of the DSFH.
13- Maintains concise and accurate records of the competency status of all staff and schedules annual recertification as needed
14- Promotes appropriate utilization of all resources.
15- Establishes and maintains an environment that promotes and supports professional practice and the philosophy of life long learning
16- Advocates for the needs of the patient and nursing staff through the endorsement of the patients rights policies and hospital code of conduct.
17- Creates a culture which empowers others to achieve , maximizing individual potential
18- Promotes staff critical thinking skills by using case presentation as teaching method
19- Coordinates with biomedical department and arrange staff training on various medical equipments.
20- Demonstrates excellence in skills of negotiation , critical thinking and team building
21- Revises , develops ,Educates , implements and evaluates nursing forms
22- Provides students and interns with the needed training to become professional nurses committed to nursing practice, leadership and service
23- Prepares Interns and trainees both professionally and personally to manage all the challenges they will face as a
member of today’s most exciting healthcare profession
24- Builds and enhances a culture of continuous clinical education among the members of the nursing division
25- Provides general and clinical orientation for the faculty members and students on regular basis and maintain the students/interns/instructors files.
26- Provides guidelines on the documents required and their storage prior to the initiation of clinical training assignments of
FCMS students and interns (trainees) at DSFH
27- Provides guidance on the agreed educational parameters set by the College of nursing academic program leaders and
the hospital’s leadership
28- Promotes a culture of learning for the students by implanting the concept of teaching among all DSFH nursing staff and encouraging them to act as resources for the students providing them with guidance and answer to their inquiries to strengthen their clinical knowledge and prepare them for the clinical experience and team work.
29- Fosters autonomy and critical thinking in clinical areas to empower the application of professional patient centered care
30- Fosters collaborative relations and mutual understanding
31- Communicates effectively. Maintains open positive , harmonious and professional relationships at all times
32- Participates in performance improvement activities as requested by the chief nursing officer and quality department
33- Serves on committees a requested by the Chief Nursing Officer

36- Assists the Chief of Nursing Division in the effective running of Nursing services through willing acceptance of any other responsibilities
37-Demonstrates compassionate communication skills while providing support and care to the patients as “the patient is the center of our care”.
Other Job Functions:
1-Perform all duties and tasks in line with the Person Centered Care values.
2-Adherence to all policies, plans and programs within the Fakeeh Care.
3-Perform duties as per the code of conduct requirement and ethical standards as outlined in the HCM policies and guidelines.
4-Complete mandatory education as per the requirement at least one month prior to expiration.
5-Maintain up to date knowledge on information relating to quality and safety, accreditation, policy management and document management systems.
Qualifications
Education: Nursing specialist with a Bachelor Degree in Nursing Graduated from an accredited and approved nursing program from the country of origin Current licensure essential .
Experience: Minimum of 8 years full time post registration experience in a hospital of not less than 300 beds
Language: Fluency in spoken and written English essential Arabic is desirable
Required Licenses/Registrations: CFHS, MOH Licenses, Valid Nursing Licensure from the Country of Origin upon
