Provides direct patient care for a number of assigned patients utilizing the nursing process of planning, implementing, evaluating and revising the plan of care to meet changing patient need.
Demonstrates knowledge and clinical skills appropriate to the area of assignment.
Delivers evidence based nursing care to patients as determined by best practice guidelines, hospital policies and procedures, the Lippincott Manual, accreditation v standards and Ministry of Health regulations and requirements.
Develops a plan of care in collaboration with the patient, family and other members of the health care team that is consistent with the medical diagnosis of the patient and which evolves to reflect changing physical, psychosocial and age related requirements.
Performs full nursing assessment on all assigned patients on admission and daily according to policy. Documents all assessments, interventions and relevant information in the patient medical record.
Promotes continuity of safe and effective patient care through meaningful oral and written communication.
Works with other health care team members in patient care improvement initiatives and activities designed for the improvement of patient care outcomes
Prepares equipment and requirements for minor procedures.
Other duties as assigned within the scope of responsibility and requirements of the job
Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing or medical sciences is preferable.
Fluency in spoken and written Arabic and English essential.
