Manage, maintain, and operate the facilities, serving as the primary contact for all services related to the Al Farabi contract.
This includes overseeing maintenance (both hard and soft), safety, security, transportation, accommodation and warehouse operations.
Enhance and promote safety and emergency response initiatives to ensure the well-being of patients, visitors, and staff. Enforce relevant codes, standards, regulations, and compliance requirements throughout the facility.
Provide effective project management for new construction, renovations, modifications, and equipment installations, ensuring adherence to applicable codes and clinical requirements.
Participate in various committees and ad hoc meetings as needed.
Ensure maintenance activities, including both planned and reactive tasks, are completed within required timeframes.
Present lifecycle analyses for major equipment and develop a CAPEX plan, acting as the point of contact for the facility in coordination with the COO of Al Farabi. Propose enhancement schemes for the cost-effective management of services
Plans, develops, implements and monitors preventive maintenance strategies and programs for all physical plants, buildings, equipment and systems
Ensures compliance with safety standards and regulations across the facilities by enforcing relevant codes and clinical requirements
Updates policies and procedures as needed
Assesses departmental manpower needs and submit recommendations to the COO
Defines and monitors goals and objectives for Facility Management and Safety staff
Reviews purchase requests and payment certifications to ensure compliance with contract terms
Ensures that equipment and systems operate efficiently according to manufacturer requirements and are properly maintained
Establishes monitoring processes for key utilities, equipment and systems, ensuring KPIs support optimal operation and minimal downtime
Ensures that testing of utilities, equipment and systems are performed in line with manufacturer, codes, standards and regulatory requirements 10. Leads staff performance management, addressing any performance issues and implementing corrective actions as necessary
Manages inventory levels of materials, spare parts and tools, placing orders as needed
Participates in various committees and meetings to support organizational goals
Ensures in-service education and training opportunities are available for staff
Maintains a safe working environment
Monitors contractors and PPM suppliers, documenting any non-compliance incidents
Establishes and manages incident review processes
Participates in Committees and Performance Improvement teams, providing feedback to the COO
Conducts departmental meetings and maintains minutes
Supports Continuous Quality Improvement initiatives and promote standards of care
Conducts inspections of supervised areas, submitting reports with corrective action plans
Ensures teams are present for emergencies, codes, MOH and accreditation visits
Submits the annual CAPEX plan by Q3 along with an updated operational budget
Qualifications:
Demonstrates ability to make recommendations and decisions and to take appropriate action in both normal and emergency circumstances and follow
up on tasks in a timely manner.
Excellent analytical and communication skills, physically and mentally alert. Experienced in facility management and physical plant as well as codes and standards. 10+ years in facility management ideally within a healthcare environment with minimum of 5 years in managerial level Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited University Fluency in written and spoken English, desired fluency in written and spoken Arabic (not essential) Saudi Council of Engineers
