Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the preparation of all nutritional support formulas that need modification and preparation for all inpatients.
- Ensures hygiene and sanitation policies and requirements are implemented in the Nutritional Support Formula Room.
- Ensures delivery of ordered enteral feeding to requesting wards along with education to nursing staff on storage and administration.
- Place orders for needed ingredients of enteral feeding and enter charges and refunds (as applicable) of enteral feeding in the Oasis system.
- Supervises in kitchen preparation of all modified and therapeutic diet requirements for all in-patients.
- Plan therapeutic diet as per calculations of Clinical Dietitian.
- Receives orders from the Maser Diet List and interprets diet order of physicians.
- Recognize and monitor all Nil Per Os (NPO) patients and report to Clinical Dietitians to conduct nutrition care plan
- Participates in reviewing, addirg and updating of the diet menu.
- Supervises tray line — checking for special food quality, quantity, appearance and compliance to written prescriptions of patients' diets.
- Attendance department meeting.
- Performs miscellaneous duties related as required by the Service Director, Dietary Services.
- Contribute to patient education and assist the Clinical Dietitian.
- Other duties as assigned within the scope of responsibility and requirements
JOB REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
B.S. in Food and Nutrition or Diploma in Food Science and Nutrition
Experience:
At least one year experience in Food Service.
Language:
Excellent command of English and knowledge of Arabic is an asset. Must be able to read and fully understand hospital medical charts and clinical references Required Licenses/Registrations:
