Performs nutritional screening, assessment and reassessment for patient that are on therapeutic diet, which are appropriate and timely per Established policies and procedures.
Discusses patient's cases and food—drug interactions with physician and nursing staff and other health care professionals as needed.
Evaluate appropriatenesa of enteral nutrition support, including energy protein, adequacy of fluid provision
Conduct in and out patient education with the patient and family and staff as needed, charts information in the nutritional data sheet.
Develops nutrition care pan and educational materials and monitors patient response to care plan developed as per policy.
Provide inpatient discharge diet instructions.
Covers outpatient dietitian clinics and assess nutritional status and develops care plan.
Participate in the approval and modification of diet on the menu.
Attends department meeting and clinical Dietitan meeting.
Performs miscellaneous duties related as required by the Dietary service director.
Other duties as assigned within the scope of responsibility and requirements of the job.
Ensure that any work procedures that may cause safety issue are reported to concerned department for correction.
Ensure that all policies and procedure concerning safety issue are in place and are implemented.
JOB REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:
Education & Experience:
B.S. in medical nutrition therapy with one year internship or its equivalent. 1 years'
Language:
Excellent command of oral and written English and Arabic
